Requesting a quote or confirming a booking with Jacksonville Budget Movers, a Florida-registered and insured household-goods carrier based in Jacksonville, means agreeing to the terms below, which cover this website and the moving, packing, and storage work our crew performs.
What we cover
Our crew operates across Jacksonville and Duval County: Mandarin, San Marco, Riverside, Avondale, Arlington, Orange Park, and Ponte Vedra Beach, plus long-distance runs on I-95 and I-10. Every truck belongs to the company, and everyone riding in it is a direct employee, so we don’t farm work out to independent operators or list your job with an outside party.
How a quote gets built
A written figure comes from what you tell us: pickup and delivery addresses, a bridge crossing or PCS report date, stairs or tight clearances, driveway conditions at historic properties, an approximate inventory, and your target date. That number becomes your rate for a job matching that description, with no fuel charge or mileage add-on anywhere in Duval County. A request alone doesn’t hold a date; a slot locks in only once our office confirms it back to you.
When a number can change
If the property doesn’t match what was described, a rougher access road, a different address, or noticeably more furniture than reported, a revised figure gets discussed and approved with you before the crew goes any further. That’s the only case where the original number moves.
Scheduling and changes
A date belongs to whichever household confirms it, not whichever one asked first. Plans change, and telling us as soon as yours does gives another Jacksonville family a shot at that opening. Your signed quote or move agreement spells out the deposit amount and cancellation terms for your specific job.
What we need from you
- Describe the job honestly, including an approximate room count and anything unusually heavy or bulky
- Disclose bridge access, PCS report dates, stairs, and fragile items before the crew arrives
- Secure any gate clearance, property manager, or base housing approval beyond what our office coordinates directly
- Keep pathways clear and accessible on both ends so the crew can work efficiently
Coverage and claims
Coverage on your shipment depends on the valuation option you chose and applicable federal rules. The included option is released-value protection, valued at sixty cents a pound per article. Upgrading to full-value protection costs extra, tied to the value you declare, with cargo coverage of up to $1 million applying to the shipment as well. Claims must be submitted in writing, and federal rules typically allow around nine months following delivery for an out-of-state relocation.
